Scary start this morning. Biscuit didn’t eat this morning. He came to the kitchen. Took one bite, drank some water and went and laid down. Makes me nervous. Trying to get a ketone test, but have to catch him at the litter box. Just makes me nervous, can’t afford more vet bills...
 
Finally ate some. Didn’t lick the plate like normal, but feeling better that he ate. Still watching for a litter visit so I can get a ketone test...
 
Sorry for the rough start...but it looks like Biscuit has been having a pretty nice day afterall :) Hope you get your meter soon ... it'll ease your mind.

Idjit pulled that on me a few weeks ago..he wouldn't eat. And this cat lives to eat! I offered everything under the sun, he just wasn't interested. We tested..he was ok there. So, sent DH to get some cans of food and a jar of baby food meat, thinking we can entice that appetite. I asked another member for advice..so DH got to go to the health food store and buy Slippery Elm Bark, and some S. Boulardii. I stewed, worried, followed Idjit around until I got the stink eye, and he did eat a small amount of canned with SEB, then a few hours later, same thing. He also enjoyed some plain chicken broth, so he didn't get dehydrated.

Next day he was back to normal, so I have no idea what was going on..upset tummy?? But, now I have the SEB and S. Boulardii in my stores of things Idjit, a little more knowledge under my belt via referencing threads/posts about those supplements and a cat that resumed his hobby of making sure every meal is on time.

But, you cracked me up, spent 3 hours of my morning waiting for a cat to pee. Thank you for that today!;)
 
Glad for the laugh. Yeah these kitties that “never” miss a meal and that eat like it was lobster and filet, really throw us for a loop when they don’t eat. Dinner was a bit more normal. He ate his great, didn’t go after his sisters but I’ll take that vs this morning. :nailbiting:

I too start hitting the forums looking for answers and suggestions every time something seems off. Sometimes I think Biscuit looks at me like a teenager going... come on mom, I’m fine...

In the end he seems to have had a good day number wise and no clue what it was. Ah well, tomorrow’s another day...
