Yesterday at Tricia's House of Chaos

Happy Caturday, everyone! Cinco is celebrating the fact that he got a second breakfast, and a lunch, and didn't get shoved into a carrier and hauled to UCD today. His current mode of celebrating is curling up on his scratch mat and catching 40 winks. :joyful:

I never thought I'd be happy to see mid-blue numbers, but with all that yellow yesterday, I'm grateful he's a bit lower. Considering our plans tonight and tomorrow night, I'd be just fine if he parks himself right where he is (numbers-wise) and just vegetates for a while.

Minka's appy is still not so good. She did polish off the baby food and cat food I left out for her overnight, She ate about 1/3 of her breakfast, and had about 1/4 of a jar of baby food with fluids. She just came in and took care of another 1/4 of the jar, so I'm expecting it to be gone by dinner time. She just isn't interested in cat food, it seems. I decided to start her back on the supplements that the acupuncture vet put her on, so she got a plethora of pills today, to her disgust. We'll see if it makes any difference.

Sasha is doing okay. Still a little droopy, but that could be the Bupe. I've switched to every 12 hours instead of every 8. She's eating slowly, which is nothing new. She really doesn't care for the eye drops, but she lets me do it, so we're plugging along.

Harvey's hoover seems to be regaining power. Still not set on high, but maybe medium speed. He's due for a three month recheck next week, so I'll be calling to get that scheduled on Monday. I hate that his IM, Dr. Bonadio, is gone, but hopefully there will be someone just as nice to take her place.

I've been lazing around here, between cat wrestling sessions, so I'd better go get dressed and get busy. Gotta hit Costco for a refill of Harvey's chemo drug, and want to clean out the back seat of my car, which Cinco has totally trashed. Hope everyone on the East Coast is staying safe and dry.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans, especially Marilyn & Polly, Deborah & Shasta, Carla & her civvie Baby, Wendy & civvie Theo, and Marje & Gracie. :bighug: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF and DH, Marje's DM, Chris' DM, Molly's DM, and Elise's DM.

You certainly deserve the day of lazing around, but it sounds like you still are getting a workout. Sending appy vines all around and safe surfing for Cinco!

Nice blues for Cinco today. I hope he keeps surfing for you tonight. Sending appy vines for the other kitties. Sending more prayers. :bighug::bighug:

Hey Minka it's Sasha that has an excuse to be off her foods a bit not you so if she can do it so can you - eat up!

Go Harvey, sweet dreams Cinco - way to celebrate!

Thanks for stopping by, Carla, Serryn and Rhiannon.

Actually, @rhiannon and shadow (GA), I have spreadsheets! Several!

Minka finished off a jar of baby food. I keep telling her she's a cat, so she needs to eat cat food, but she's not buying it. As long as she's eating, I'll just keep giving her nutritional supplements to make up for what she's not getting.

Dr. Riggs (the dentist) emailed me to ask how Sasha is doing. She sent me these pictures of Sasha helping her with the discharge notes:

I love Dr. Riggs. So cool. Obviously cares about Sasha. And Sasha's bean.

Vines to all the kitties at THoC and the bean. Hope you can relax and enjoy a bit without the UCD daily drives over the weekend.

Way to go, Cinco!! Those blues look very good on you!!

How CUTE on the pictures!! Sasha really seems to know how to get into the hearts of everybody she meets!

Hey Cinco...You're closer to shore than I am tonight so help Rusty keep an eye on the kitties....I be back tomorrow....maybe...maybe not

Thanks for stopping by, Marilyn, Chris and Suki.

We had a good dinner at Olive Garden, took a field trip to check out the new Bass Pro Shop that just opened in Sac, and had fun playing cards. We were treated to a light show all evening (lightning), and on the way home, a thunderstorm that included this mysterious wet stuff falling from the sky. I think this is the substance called rain that I've heard so much about! We got several good blasts of it after we got home, too. :):):)

Cinco appears to have been a flat yellow kitty tonight. He cleaned out Otto quite thoroughly, but that didn't prevent him from eating the snack I offered when we got home. Minka had eaten both the cat food and baby food I left her (at least, I'm pretty sure it was she). AND she ate 90% of the late snack I served her! :woot: Then she ate about 1/3 of a jar of baby food during fluids. She's currently working on the remaining 2/3!!! I guess the Cypro, Cerenia and Ondansetron I gave her before we left helped. Sasha ate almost all of her late snack, too. Mamabean is pretty pleased with tonight's results (although I would prefer that Cinco was flat blue - greedy me!).

We discussed it with our friends and made the decision to skip dinner out before the show tomorrow night. We'll grab an early bite at home before leaving and give Cinco his shot a half hour early. I just didn't want to skip if we absolutely didn't have to. Since we all had dinner out tonight together, no one minds, plus trying to get in and out of a restaurant in time to get to the show is always somewhat stressful.

I am going to play a few mindless games on FB and then see if I can get to sleep. Ni-ni!
