Hi Debra

So you had quite the busy night last night!! Did you go back to and stay with the Ulticare Pet syringes which I’m assuming since you left his dose at 2.75u?

The 34 this morning was likely due to the depot. It looks like he was ready for a decrease but the decrease from 2.75u to 2.69u is really not much of a decrease. I would encourage you, when you decrease for 40s and above, to do it by 0.1u. For below 40, you need to decrease by 0.25u. That means I’d go ahead and take his dose down to 2.5u tonight. Safety first. You know you can always go back up.

Ok. ..thank you!
Yes, I am still using the Ulticare RXVet syringe. I was afraid to use the human syringe for fear of giving too much insulin but now it just may have been the depot was too full. I'll give 2.50 units tonight.
I gave him gravy at +9 which brought him up nicely. Now if he can only hold that number for another hour.
Question.....when I give him gravy, does that have the same effect as the canned food? Does gravy last as long as food does? Does gravy work faster to raise BG numbers?
Gravy for me is much easier to give Yoyo as I use a syringe and he takes it willingly. Food he doesn't want!
Thank you!:bighug:

Ps.....no blood wk paper wk at this time as office doesn't even have a printer working...... don't ask!!!
So I don't have the complete blood wk for Yoyo.

Gravy can wear off a little faster than food. That’s why it’s often good to alternate the food with the gravy. First, it keeps the numbers more stable and, second, it keeps kitty from getting too full.

Good luck with the new dose!!
