Boomer has definitely taken a dislike to the auto feeder. I am still setting it up each day and night but I end up scooping the food out of it onto a plate to get him to eat. And at +6 (2:00) he doesn't eat and hasn't been waking me up so I assume he's not really hungry then.
He ate from the auto feeder just fine until we had that situation with having to change his foods as he started to go out of remission. I suppose I could try the old auto feeder; the dishes are larger and flatter and I can put an ice pack underneath which I really liked. But there's only two dishes which works out ok most of the time but not when we're away for an entire day. And it doesn't have a digital timer and I found it impossible to set and have it actually open when I want it to. I don't mind putting all of the food on a plate for him but during the day our civvie Allen eats it and I don't like doing it at night because when I get up at 5:00 +9 to remove his leftovers I have no idea when he has eaten. Maybe a combination of plate and old auto feeder will work.

Over the weekend I had 11 mostly successful mini sessions. I was really glad I had only scheduled two for yesterday! Some of the kids weren't all that impressed but I sometimes like the serious/puzzled/scowling looks as much as the smiles lol.
 
Beautiful start this morning Boomer! Sorry about the botched overnight fuds situation. I'm the autofeeder which is why he gets fed every 4 hours instead of every 3 hours. During the day if he wants an extra snack here and there he gets it too. We're never gone from home more than a few hours and I've slept on the couch or recliner for the last year. You've had good luck training Boomer so hopefully he'll come around again soon. Hope you get some rest today after such a busy weekend!
 
Great start!!! :D Unless one of my cats might dip too low over night, I have stopped setting an alarm to feed. I just wait for someone to wake me up when they get hungry. It's so much nicer to wake up to a purry kitty by my face than a cell phone alarm. But, then again, with the numbers that my boys are in, it probably doesn't make a difference at all if I feed at +7 or +9.

The only reason I get up at +9 is to make sure he eats then remove leftover food. That way I'm not having a :eek: moment when he tests high at AMPS due to a food spike
 
Beautiful numbers Boomer... but you need to let us know what is up with the auto feeder dislike??? did it wrong you in a past life or do you just not like the looks of it?? :p hopefully you like the other one better and your bean can get it to work without too much problems or she can this one more pleasing to you... you gotta keep eating buddy

What a beautiful preshot!!!! It's weird how the food change triggered his dislike with the feeder. These cats like to keep us hopping around to make their lives charmed......:rolleyes:
