Mandarin suddenly remembered how to work the juice! With a PMPS of 352, I didn't think I needed to test right before bed - but I am very glad that my spidey senses told me to set an alarm for +5. He eventually made it all the way into the 50s. So it looks like he is back to his old ways. :rolleyes:

His mama bean is still totally voiceless and I am coughing so much that everyone but Iris abandoned me over night. I guess the two snorkely girls need to stick together. ;)

I am about to take Iris to her vet appointment, but I am not sure if I can manage to teach tonight. The first row of students might be able to hear me whisper, but that's about it. Other than that, there's rest and lots of tea on my agenda for today.

Working the juice on the 6th cycle huh Mandarin...mama's instincts knows best. Hope you can rest tonight and not have to teach. Vetty vines and prayers for wee Iris. Walter...no funny stuff today buddy.

Nothing wrong with your spidey senses Christina! Good catch.:cool::D

I'm glad he got back to the lagoon.

Hope the tea and rest does the tick and you start to feel better soon.
:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Feel better soon! Have you tried the Traditional Medicinal Throat Coat tea? Slippery Elm Bark and Licorice. Tasty and helps the throat.

Mandarin, that was really sneaky of you and glad momma was wearing her spidey tights and outfit. ;)

Hoping little Iris gets a good bill of health, and you too, dear Christina
I hope both the sugar boys behave themselves
I don't suppose you have a TA that could teach tonight? You really should rest your voice :bighug::bighug:

No, I don't - but I have no clue why I thought that I would be able to teach. Well, I didn't want to look like the slacker that cancels class the day before Thanksgiving break, so instead I looked like the idiot that should have just stayed home. :rolleyes: I gave up after 30 minutes - there was just no way to teach without being able to talk (I know, I know, most people realize that without ever trying it out).

The vet appointment went fine. Iris loves hanging out with me in the room and just purrs and snuggles away... and then clings to me when the vet wants to examine her. Her nasal passages are very swollen and she is having a hard time breathing. We are trying a 5-day course of Prednisolone to see if that helps. I really hate using steroids - especially since a Depo shot was what triggered Mandarin's diabetes. But she just needs some relief.

Meanwhile, both boys are bouncing around on the trampoline. :arghh:

Look at Walter! So much for him hanging out on the trampoline - looks like he is ready to follow in his brother's footsteps and work the juice. I was hoping for some sleep, but this is pretty exciting stuff after a week of solid pinks and yellows.

How exciting for Walter - I hope he surfs safely in the low blues tonight
You really need to get sleep
so why are Iris' nasal passages swollen? allergies?
