Yesterday wasn't bad compared to Saturday. We got down to a blue 166, but in typical Luna fashion, she came back up at night and hung out in the 300s. AMPS 304 and +1 was only 350, so we didn't get a huge spike from her food. We should see something decent today.
It looks like nadir is later than it used to be. Before the hospital stay, we were around +7 or +8, now it looks like it's +10 or later. Not sure what that means, but I found it interesting.
We may have gotten to the bottom of what set off the series of events that led to the DKA. We were flipping through copies of the records we got, and the page the vet sent to the nutritionist listed Luna's diagnoses/problems:
Anorexia, DKA, sever electrolyte derangements, UTI, hepatic lipidosis, constipation, CPA, fluid overload/CHF
We knew they tested for bacteria and gave her antibiotics, but we don't remember anyone saying she had a UTI. We'll have to ask if that happened there because she wasn't going for a while, or if that's something they saw early on. They did ask us to watch if she was peeing a lot or drinking a lot of water. She was at first, but it seems like she's back to her normal now of 2-4 pee clumps a day.
