It sort of looks like something may have scraped the skin off her face. I hope it's nothing serious. Will she let you clean it with a warm, damp cloth? Sending prayers.

I hope Belle slides down today.

yes, i cleaned it with a damp paper towel, and applied some antibiotic cream on it with a Qtip

i was afraid if it is a rat bite

No idea what it might be. Has she let you check her over to make sure she hasn't got any other wounds?

Sending prayers.

Congratulations on the reducie, glad belle was ok after the excitement, looksa like a bounce from the low yesterday, with Belle hitting lo I would make sure you give the bounce time to clear before going up in dose.

In answer to your question the other day, I have no specific recommendations with regards to the dry food. Hoi e other than I would do all you can to get something LC,. But of I'm honest a better solution would be to stick with wet e en at night, and invest in an auto feeder, they have ice packs that can keep the food fresh and can rotate at regular intervals to provide belle with snacks through the night.

These crazy swings you are getting with the use of higher carb dry is making life unecessarily complicated for yourself.

Hope it won't be long before the bounce clears.

Hi Helena,
I have been off line with computer problems for 2 days, so I missed your LO reading yesterday. Please be very careful with his insulin doses, as according to my old glucometer LO meant below 20 which is very dangerous. I would also be careful with the dosing if you decide to change his dry food suddenly or eliminate his dry food at night time as that could lower his BGs and you aren't testing at night.

I am visiting my Dad in Lodi, which is just above Stockton, so I am close to the Bay Area for a week, so "Hi" we're actually in the same time zone and state :)

I don't remember which animal it was, cat, dog, or rabbit, but I have seen a sore that looks like the one Bailey has on one of my animals before. Although it looked painful, I do remember it quickly scabbed over and healed up. I hope the same happens for Bailey. I would just keep doing what you are doing with the gentle washing of it, and hope it heals quickly as faces often do. Watch for swelling or eating problems or the sore getting bigger. Sending healing light to your Bailey :bighug:
