His numbers held up. He ate his food. So we were able to get a full dose on board.

OH will be watching him a little more closely today considering this number might still have some carbs behind it and because yesterday he showed us that he could take a dip around +4.

Wow, pretty awesome day for Jenks. Despite some 12% breakfast, he hung out in the lagoon throughout the first quarter of the cycle. Then he surprised by not blowing up much at all for the rest of the day. I'm a little concerned because he got distracted at dinner and didn't end up eating much, so we'll just have to see where his number end up.

It's starting to feel like we're building up to a reduction, which is exciting. I think I'm going to adopt @Doodles & Karen advice and pick a higher number as a reduction target, maybe something in the 50s or 60s. That way, we don't let the insulin get too far in front of us and have to frantically cut to adjust to something that works.

I just took my Doodles down a drop since we are under the 5u mark now. Being at the 10 unit mark if you do reduce at a higher number instead of .5u reductions I'd try .25 and be a little patient to see if he settles in. Worse case it doesn't work but think it might be worth a shot (no pun intended) . I especially like that I haven't had to BCS or skip in a while now and prior to this method I became the queen of skip/bcs which was not good for my boy.
