Good morning. I am not a great fan of this cycle. Who knows what she is doing.

Last night she gave me some green!:cat:

I gave her the probiotic again with her ps meal and added a little darwins raw turkey to her +3 and +5 snack and she held it down. Yay!!

Mom update: She is walking completely without the walker now!!!!!! She is still having trouble sitting up for more than a few minutes at a time and is having some muscle pain. She is still pretty weak, so she needs to keep doing her PT exercises. Hopefully she will be stronger soon!!! I'd love to get her out of the house, but she isn't quite ready to do that yet.

Have a good day.

Calm down now Osha and back to the lagoon soon please. Congrats on her holding down the raw so hopefully in time she can go back to it. Hope she continues to do those exercises and can get out for a little while soon. Back injuries are horrific and take a long time to recover from. DH broke his back in 2012, has had 4 surgeries since (2 because he broke the titanium screws ). There are many things he just can't and will never do anymore.

Thanks Karen. I am hopeful now that she can get back to the all raw diet.

Mom broke her back on Oct. 30th and since then hasn't left the house unless it was to go to the hospital or a doctor appointment. I keep thinking even if she can get in the car with me and get the heck out of my 900 square foot space it would help to motivate her more, but she seems perfectly content to stay inside.

Wow, 4 surgeries?! That sounds awful. How the heck did he break the screws? That is just crazy.

The neurologist asked the same question. One he was doing stuff he shouldn't (lifting heavy things, building sheds etc.) but we also wondered if they were defective. He started with 13 screws and 2 rods..now he's down to 8 screws and shorted rods.

Wow. That is just impressiveo_O I hope DH has retired from building and lifting heavy things.:stop:

Yay for keeping the raw down. I hope Osha heads back to green soon. I'm glad your mom is making progress. Sending prayers.

So happy that your mom is getting better and able to walk on her own now! And as much as leaving the house sounds like a good idea, I would be extra careful with all the snow and ice. I still have vivid memories of sliding down my front steps last year and landing right on my pelvis.

Ouch! That sounds painful! Right now we don't have any snow or ice so I'd like to get her out before the weather decided to turn.

woohoo Osha... in the lagoon and doing a nice back float instead of diving... keep that up for you bean it looks great on you... hope your mom keeps healing and gaining strength Amanda... heres to an outing soon for you both when she gets stronger :bighug::bighug:
