question... lincolns belly looks different.. a little pink and the hair looks a little thinner... DH says he and Stubbs were wrestling hard in the man cave the other night... so he thinks that is what it is... one spot looked like broken skin... rubbed some polysporn in ... thing is i googled... which is never a good thing cause it never tells you hey your cat is find dont worry... so of course cushings came up... wondering if anyone here has a kitty with cushings and belly hair issue what it looks like... trying to be positive but going negative in my mind and starting to over think it

after 24 hours in the blue / greens (mostly blues just a flash of green)... Lincoln decided to visit the yellows... so the bean will get some sleep tonight... still 24+ hours in the Blues... will totally take that... his body is still learning what normal is and the bounces are getting smaller and dont last as long but he is still learning normal for now it looks like

With Cushing's you will usually notice hair loss/thinning over the entire body. Another telling sign is a pot-bellied appearance. My Tuxie looks like he is pregnant, due to enlarged liver, pancreas and adrenals. If you have any suspicions of Cushing's the simplest test is the UCCR (Urine cortisol creatinine ratio) test. This involves collecting a urine sample at home so there is no stress and taking it to your vet who will send it to IDEXX or another outside lab who does the testing, If basically measures the amount of cortisol in the urine and if it is within normal ranges then no further testing needs to be done. If you need more information just ask and I can give you other tests that are useful.
