Good morning and day before Christmas Eve greetings! Hoping night was sweet and gentle for all

Sootie's ambg 73, at stair landing this morning very curious about the fud ascending as slowly as I was. Ate some before guzzling remedy and time for ear prick. She began to dabble in breffis again. That is, until bff's Bella and Dancer converged on the breffis scene.

Giving Sootie a break while I am in with Azalea who at the moment is more interested in cuddling and sharing her happy drool. Then will bring breffis to wherever she happens to have settled.

Including a couple pics from the morning, too.

Calling vetty in a few minutes to see about getting injectable cerenia for Sootie. May have to bring her in for a recheck but that's ok. An alternative to the gi specialist's omezaprole (now a near total bust to tx) would be good too if he's willing.

Would that be ondasetron (I'm spelling it wrong I think). We can forget the Pepcid AC.

If he suggests an appy stimulant alternative to mirtz: Cypro, right? Ya'D think I'd remember it better, being that these meds have been in much discussion lately.

Wish I could help you with the meds but I get all confused myself with them. Bubba had ondansetron a few times for appy stimulate and not so sure that it helped him the time I gave him it was when he had the infected tooth back in Sept. He didn't seem to want to eat until I got the AB and pain meds on board.
Sending appy vines for her. And hoping that she will enjoy her party fuds today!

Love the pics! Still am amazed at how well she looks for one week postop?

I'm leery about pharmos, too, unless absolutely necessary...whether it's me or bc Sootie and tribe have resonated for so long with herbals, homeopathics etc being part of the equation,I dunno. could be both. But they surely are the ones to tell me when they've had "quite enough thank you, it's done its job" of one med or another. They prefer to be heard by listening and not told. Don't we all??!!!

Azalea is, crossing paws, making amazing recovery. what you and others said and suggested about enucleation is absolutely true. I apologize to Azalea for not proceeding with it sooner. But during those weeks of doing the drops, there were signs of some improvement earlier on. Then the tide turned for the worse. Another lesson learned...

I'm glad Sootie was eating some for you this morning. I love hearing Azalea was sharing her happy drool with you. It's great to hear how well she's doing.

I hope you keep posting updates for Sootie and Azalea. Just because Sootie is OTJ, doesn't mean you can't post here, even daily if you want to. Amy posts a daily update for Trixie and she's been OTJ for years.

Yes Azalea can be quite the drool queen it's lovely except when it's stinky. since her surgery her mouth's been good. Maybe the clavamox this time around is helping.

Sootie and I are just home from vetty, got a cerenia injection and I now have three pre-dosed syringes to tide us through Monday. Vetty ok now with resuming a/b injections with fluids, resume daily. Her weight is 1/16# less than three weeks ago. So hoping the cerenia helps her appy even though it's not an appy stim. Revisit on Tuesday afternoon after Azalea and I return from her late morning follow up with OV. It'll be quite a day.

Still no reply from gi specialist to me or their report to vetty. So much for some kinds of bureaucratic entities. 'Nuff said on that... Today is a day of cheer!

Sootie almost made up her mind about her dessert surprise contribution to the party. Alas I mucked up her concentration by quickie trip to vet. Sorry, Soots!!!

Yes! absolutely love to continue to post, participate and contribute! Appreciate very much being welcomed to do so. You all are very special (understatement).... amazing truly amazing...,and we all are on paths , on journeys, sometimes joy sometimes sorrow but always made lighter in fellowship. Don't know what comes next in this journey but sure do know that we'd be in a far different place without you all here in LL L!

Quickie here cuz everybody's been all a flurry for the party at the Falls.

Sootie's pmbg 75 though we did quite a bit of hide and seek to do the pm routine. Done and and all are off the this super LL party in Sootie's honor. Azalea had to dash to catch up with the tribe tho (she lost track of time snuggling with DH).

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA): Sootie is hoping that Swedish/Danish chocolate balls will be a nice messy fun surprise dessert. Les of @Gussie's mom inspired Sootie.
P.S. Hope your trip to CT easy peasy and no uccky weather. We're snow-free at this end of the state whew!

The drugs for nausea are Ondansertron (Zofran) or Cerenia
The alternative to mirtazeprine for appy stimulus is cyproheptadine. Mirt is once every two to three days, and cypro can be given twice a day....
Saw you got the cerenia...paws crossed it gets her eating!

Azalea looks great! Thank you for posting the photos, I've got that in the future for Jett and have no real reference for knowing what to expect so that helps a lot! So happy she came thru the process so well!
