Good morning on this Christmas Eve morning.

First and foremost: thank you all....and for ringing in OTJ for Sootie cheer in the midst of holiday preparations, travels and all that goes with this time of year. Holidays can be so complex...not just because of all the preparations (of which I have done near zilch) but because of the sweet and bittersweet memories. The hearts in our household go out for and send gentlest of vines for all who are struggling with illness and those for whom loved ones have Gone Ahead.


Sootie's ambg 86 this morning. Though she was right on cue, greeting me from the stair landing and then up on the bed for her remedies and ear prick, something is 'off.' Maybe she over indulged at last night's OTJ party. She's not eating yet today. Tho DH assures that she ate some during the night. Two breffis offerings nope. Fluids with clindamycin and b12. Ok with that. Omezaprole goo squirts. Oh my, but got some in. Not a happy girl about pharmos. Period.
Hoping her appy picks up soon. Have to go to work soon.

I am living in a see saw world today. Azalea was full of beans this morning, already up and about ready for breffis and cuddle time. Not so much drooling today!

I need to remember to put a dish of cream outside tonight. Old Danish custom to keep the Tomten (mischevious trolls) happy for Christmas...

Sootie, no need to be dramatic about coming off the juice. Hope it is just a little upset tummy from last nights festivities and the fluids with a little B12 kick start that appy. Eat your fuds, they are good for you!

Sending eat your Fuds vines to Sootie! Maybe she's adjusting to the cerenia shot from yesterday too..I think that ( well besides partying thru the night and we know too well what that can do ..( some of us have not quite completely faded memories of that, there are definitely benefits to maturing ) adding the cerenia shot was the only changed variable right?
Eat your fuds sweet Sootie....lets round out this great celebratory start to the holiday you've given your Mama Bean and show a fabulous appy!!

Ha Ha, sure do remember the times of partying, some more vivid than others), let's not talk about how long ago those days were!!!

Sootie's pmbg, a little early tonight, was 77. Came downstairs while I was readying a roast for the oven (what Steve doesn't know yet is that supper is many hours away!)

Tried three fud offerings with Sootie including some thawed nearly room temp s&c rabbit. Sniffed all but only took a few licks of FF. Did sneak in a squirt dose of that omezaprole goo (about 1/2 of it got on me and the floor).

When came upstairs with fud including everything offered downstairs, saw that the morning dish of s&c rabbit was CPC. Somebody [liked it] I wonder who, who, who , can she be?? (gershwin week???)

About to do Sootie's evening round of fluids etc.
she was discretely wheezy this morning too, so I'm guessing maybe it's the return of that sinus infection and hoping that's all that it is.

DH in with Azalea now and with a dish of her usual soft slurry and a dish with a little s&c raw rabbit. We'll see. She went for radcat once and then nixed it next day. I'm being adventurous.

Lots of rain here today but cleared enough late in the day to see luminaria being placed along the streets and lit. It is very pretty.

Have gentle Christmas Eve and tonight is Hanukkah too. May blessings abound.

The not eating thing is not something I do well ( I truly believe I was a Italian Grand mom in another life and just not comfy with not eating) Have you tried baby food for Sootie?

Glad Azalea continues to heal up. What does the no drooling mean? I might have missed that .

I get very mama bird too about the not eating. And it's guess work about who is eating unless you're an eyewitness! Sound familiar?!!!

I'm thinking I should get a baby cam or something like that to take most of the guesswork.

I haven't done the baby fud strait up yet tonight. Sometimes she's good with bsby fud mixed in with something else. But not yet today far as I've seen. Slurry baby food next up. She keeps sniffing fud dishes then turns away and comes and cuddles.
Oh yes Azalea and her drool: love drool.

That roast sounds yummy! My sister always cooks a roast Christmas Eve too.

We used to have a roast for Christmas Even when i was growing up. Our new tradition (the past half dozen years) is barbequed ribs. Even the pas three years in Ohio, DH has braved the cold to do them. Sooooo yummy! We're in windy, cool CA this Christmas, but we had ribs!

I hope Azalea ate for DH. I'm glad she's continuing to do well in her recovery (anti-jinx). Sootie, that hangover from the party should have worn off by now. Eat your fuds, please, Missy!
