A little Christmas green to start the holiday off. Looking good Jenks!

The number is a little sneaky though. He was 106 just 90 minutes prior to AMPS. So he dropped 36 points pretty fast. OH is on notice to check him about +4 just to make sure that carryover doesn't take him too low.

But he ate a hearty portion of breakfast food. I added a little drizzle of karo to hopefully stall out any further drop. But that will keep him going for at least a couple of hours.

Merry Christmas to everyone and their sweet kitties. I wish I could give the gift of OTJ to every single one of you.

Jenks had a Christmas surprise in store for his mama when it was time for his first-quarter spot check. Despite 9% food with a karo drizzle for breakfast, he continued down from his AMPS of 70 and just kept going. A little gravy got him back on track though.

He's definitely getting some carryover action for three or four hours beyond AMPS. But almost immediately after that, he turns a corner and starts up again. This is a new pattern for us, and we're still figuring out how to address it.

In the meantime, he's been signalling for a reduction over the past couple of days. Had I taken it earlier, perhaps we wouldn't have had a 32 today. So I backed down to 8.5U for the PM dose. We'll see if he can hold it.

On a sad note, I exhausted our last, precious can of Friskies Special Diet Ocean Whitefish. I managed to stockpile more than a hundred of these when word hit that they were being discontinued and rationed them out as best I could. The kitties really loved this food.
 
My condolences on using up the Friskies SD. I also stockpiled it, and then Cinco and Harvey put their paws down and refused to eat it, so I sent it to Brian and Tyler. Wish I'd known you kitties were addicted to it, too - I'd have sent you some!

Congratulations on the reduction. Now, Jenks, no need to bounce to the moon tonight. I nice, safe surf to let the beans get some rest would be perfectly acceptable.
