Good morning all,

With a brand new Lantus stick used for the first time yesterday I was expecting some
good changes to happens... but nothing changed :bookworm:. It seemed like yesterday Small
Kitty had slowly gone down to yellow but it could be more a dive down followed by
an unstoppable climb... :( He's probably still going up right now.

Yesterday was the most quiet day I'd ever seen at the office, did not receive a single call.
This gave me plenty of time looking for cappuccino machine witch I think is case solved.
Had told my ''know everything'' brother that I was to look in classified ads sites and see
if someone could not have received a gift that he didn't want. ''Nobody will give something
that expensive before asking before'' he said... but IT DID ! Someone won the exact same
machine I was looking for and was asking 800$ (worth 1200$). I wrote the, what I would learn
was a girl, a very nice mail showing me as a saver ready to give her money to help balancing
her budget . Got the ''do it all'' machine (brand new) at haft the price, 600$, just left is
picking it up.

Also have another target, he didn't respond yet. His machine is a more advanced version
but had been used for who knows how many years. It worth 2400$, if he respond, I'll
offer him 500$ listing him all the possible parts that can fail and their cost... A virtual
1000$ bill will come up making him accept my offer, I'm sure. That's if he replies.

On this have a good day, wish me luck in my bargain and most importantly some low
numbers for Small Kitty.. seems he doesn't like them at all lately.

Christmas evening's numbers for SK looked so good! Small Kitty needs to refer back to them when he is all the way back up! :bighug:

Cappuccino is lovely :coffee: I don't drink a lot of coffee, especially caf, but I always had one in the morning when I was studying abroad in Italy. Boy do they love their caffeine fix!

Yay on finding the deal on the cappuccino maker! Coffee is an absolute must for me to function!!!

Small Kitty, please come on down!

Yay! Sounds like Patience Pants work for finding the perfect cappuccino machine too!! ;):)
So happy you've found not 1 but 2 possibilities! Yay!
Cmon SK, remember how good the tropics felt? Lounging on the beach and testing the cool healing waters? They are calling you SK.....
Take care Sebastien, hoping SK heads back down soon for you:bighug::bighug:

Just done with the pmps test and Small Kitty will later tells us if he's going down or back
up from a low level pass.

We tough bounces were inoffensive, but they are not. Performed the weekly or
so Ketone test and Small Kitty is on the rise. Same level as urine, lately there has
been a lake of it almost every day. So the little passages in the blue are good educational
rehabilitation but the rest of the time brings it's cost... Human ketone meter will
show positive results on cat when above 2.4 but Small Kitty is more then haft way
through it... oufffff...

Do you guys have a break some time ? When it's not one thing it's another...

He's still in good shape externally, this is a good point.

SK, please bring your ketone number down now!!

Sebastien, is SK eating and drinking enough?

I rarely see him drink, same for Big Brother. There is some air on top of the water in the bowls
but that doesn't mean anything. They get water by when I add some to the food before serving.

The is one information that I found that is not reassuring.
Looking at the blood test results shows that ALKP and ALT are high.

http://zimmer-foundation.org/sch/ajf.html says :

''If the pattern of elevated values includes AST, ALT, and ALP, but CK is normal (it's the case),
it would suggest that liver damage is more likely''.
.....:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

Is SK eating his full meals?
He's eating it all. I even started giving him a little bit more. One member has a calorie
calculator in his signature and using it found that Small Kitty is missing a little.
Since the beginning of the week I let them eat than give them each a quarter of a small
can in bonus. The eat it right away and stop complaining after.

Why ? Is food intake in direct relation with liver damage ?

All I know is from my own experience. DKA is caused from not enough insulin, water and food. Hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease), which Osha got was caused by not eating enough.

It is good that he is eating his food
