It's a TV series on NBC - I kept hearing about it during award shows and just started watching -I guess the third season starts soon so trying to get through 1.5 seasons now

I hope you like it...it's set in the 80s AND in NJ....so, for me it's sorta (but not really) relatable. They call it a comedy, but it's really fairly serious. Very interesting cast...Paul Reiser, Richard Kind, Jennifer Gray....among other "recognize-ables."

Nice Murphy! Wish I could get my TV away from DH. He 's relentless and it' s not like we don't have other TVs it is just that I want to watch the one out in the family room /kitchen where I spend most of my time. What channel is "The Americans " ?

It's on FX -- there has been 4 seasons I think so you'd have to go back to the beginning
Its set in the 80s in DC - about a couple who, by all measures, seem to be a typical American family, but in fact they were both born in Russia and are KGB agents. Great character development and they weave in historical events.
