Doodles 12/30 I do have ITF but holding off a few more cycles to see if he can get back to blue. 4.75 is the hardest dose for me to measure on my syringes and with a clean magnifying glass I've made a tweak.

Ugh, wouldn't you know it just as my PM +8 alarm went off Doodles had a coughing episode. It's been 12 days since the last one. It didn't last to long and after a few minutes he did come eat his overnight meal and then just laid back in his sleeping spot to watch the bird TV in between napping. I watched him for a good hour. The windows and doors were open yesterday and he was up most of the day until late afternoon. The hydrocodone is suppose to help him rest at night so he doesn't cough during the day and tells the brain not to cough. Well, there is no rhyme or reason as to when he coughs. IDK, now that I know it's not fluid just not sold on giving him a narcotic.

We're going to a friends house for New Years after PMPS today but will be home by 10pm. Hope everyone has an enjoyable day/ evening whether it'll be a quiet one at home or a big celebration. Wish all of you the best in 2017.

Happy New Year Doodles and Karen!!! tsk tsk no more coughing and making your bean worry... i have done the watch them just to see them breath... its not a good feeling... hope you have a great night out and that Doodles finds the blues again...

Morning Karen:coffee:
Sorry to hear that Doodles had another coughing episode. I'd also hesitate to give him the narcotic since it's been 12 days since the last coughing spell.
I hope Doodles behaves himself for you so that you can party at your friends house for a while tonight!

Happy New Year's Eve to you too Karen and I am glad that his coughing spell didn't last too long. Even so, I'm sure it is hard to get back to sleep after one. Hope you have a nice time at your friends home on the last day of 2016.

Well darn it! I hope it's a lot longer than 12 days before another coughing spell. :bighug:

Happy new year!

Sorry about the coughing spell. Is there anything homeopathic you can try? Is there anyone to ask? I hope Doodles has a relaxed day. Enjoy your visit with your friends. How is your head? Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Doodles, you are super close to blue, can you slide on down just a little please?

I hope you have fun with your friends tonight.

I like Carla's idea. Maybe call a homeopathic vet and then check any suggestions with your cardiologist.

I really like that idea too! I stopped using the Albuterol for Iris and I now have an essential oil in a diffuser that I run for an hour every day. I think it not only helps her breathe a little better, but it has actually helped me breathe better too.

I'm glad it was a short episode and that he was able to calm down and rest after that.

Anyway I really wish you, Doodles and all your family a Happy New Year!!!!

Hope you can manage Doodles coughing

It's called "Breathe Easy" and it's a blend of different things. I take my animals to a holistic vet and she sells essential oils.

I used that in a diffuser after I was getting over Valley Fever, a nasty viral infection in my lungs. It helped soothe my bronchial airways especially when they burned and when I felt like I couldn't breathe. Made the house smell good as well.

I'm not up on this stuff at all. I didn't know diffusers could be turned off and on. I thought they were some kind of reed that soaked up the oil.

This is the diffuser that I have - you just put 5 drops of the essential oil in the water and turn it on. The color changing option is nice - but totally impractical with kittens who are a little too fascinated with those lights.

We can see that you go through great extent to make Doodles health at best.
The magnifier glass for correct dose trick is smart. It's never easy to get those
.75 ! Hope Doodles didn't get a cold, first time I ear cats can catch cold.

Wish you'll have a great new year's eve with your friend.
