So far looks like an exact replica of yesterdays numbers where he dropped 140 points in 4 hours then went into a mild bounce. Would love to get some opinions about steering more aggressively with food today.
He grabbed some green numbers from his "waterslide to the lagoon" yestreday as Bron called it. Then bounced.
Is it better to keep him higher throughout the day without the big drop to green follow suit from yesterday?

I almost always feed Boo at preshot, +2, +4 a 1.5 oz meal of LC. If Boo had Uncle's numbers yesterday and today of am cycles, I would just feed as normal at +2 and +4, but I most likely would get a +5 and +6 and give extra food or gravy if needed at those times.

Thanks, that's been my feeding schedule as well! Yesterday he didn't go into scary numbers, but the differential from AMPS to +4 was enough to trigger a bounce. trying to avoid the same thing today if possible.

Quite often, when I predict what Boo's BG will do, he gives me BG's in the opposite direction. On December 9th after a PMPS of 290 I bathed him, he faught and howled in extreme fear for 10 minutes. I figured BG to the moon for sure and wasn't even going to test until +4 or even +6, he responded with a steep dive. Took a can of MC and 3 cans of HC between two cats, he got the majority. Usually the MC might have been enough.

That's so crazy. I swear we're being tested ourselves, (minus the ear pricks)!

I'm almost certain Boo thinks the ear pricks are for his hungry tests. If he sees or hears me getting meter ready he runs to his food dish until I motion to him 10 feet a way to come over for his test. I actually feel bad not feeding him after the tests that aren't also meal times.

Good idea about the treats. I stared out giving a few pieces of the kibble he used to eat as a treat but stopped figuring the combined total might be too much.
