Ok, has this happened to anyone else? I tested Tucker this morning and using a Freestyle Lite meter got a reading of 16.1 (290). It seems like I have had that same reading a few times in a row and since I happened to have gotten a big drop of blood today I decided to use a 2nd strip and it came up 19 (like 10 seconds later). I popped a 3rd strip in and it came up 21.5. So within a minute I had 3 readings of: 16.1, 19 and 21.5. Is this possible or do I have a bad monitor?

I have gotten some variability in tests in the higher numbers.

My husband said that even though there were variations, being higher was reassuring in a way because we don't have to worry about giving the insulin and having a hypo event and none of the numbers would make a change in today's dose. I feel pretty bad for Tucker though, he tore through breakfast like a mad man and is absolutely begging for more food.
