176 !!!!!

    Salt went in for a bg test (after a week of no insulin) and it was 176- twice !!!!

    I was NOT expecting this at all. The plan is to re-test 1x/week at the vet for the next few weeks (since I still can’t seem to do it at home) just to be sure.
    I’m not so naive as to believe that it will be smooth sailing forever more; but I do so appreciate this reprieve and will continue to love and monitor as usual (aside bowls of low carb food, of course).

    My boy and I thank all of YOU contributors to this site. Your compassion , patience, knowledge and support are boundless.

    We’ll be lurking and offering what we can…….

    Tests at the vet can be from 100-180 mg/dL higher than at home. Try testing at home and see what you get without the vet stress!

    Woo hoo! And like BJM said, see if you can do some home tests. Luna jumps 250 points at the vet!
