WCR: Most Ps in place. Pee, poop, preening, purrs...all good...well, except the poop down the outside of the LB on Friday. :oops: Then again, a poop is a poop...I won't hold aim against her. But she must have used the ledge of the LB to rest her hiney on...hmmm...there's a first for everything. :rolleyes: Her numbers have been all over the place...bouncey cat?!? Last night's greens were a big surprise. :D :woot:

She's been very needy and constantly wanting to sit on my lap or holler for attention. Also, she's been throwing up in the AM hours. I can't decide if it's a hairball or excessive stomach acid...or a combo of both. I do have Pepcid, but I've never asked my vet about adding it into her life...the Ondansetron was a huge step for him. :p This morning was better, but I gave her several small helpings of Coconut Oil which she's been craving. I'm curious if that is helping to settle her tummy?!

OT: I had several funny moments with my feral cat this weekend. First of all, Mamacita LOVES catnip!!!!! Saturday, after my students' performance, I picked up some items at my local thrift store. I decided to see if my feral would play...first toy (feathers w/ bell on string w/ stick), she was interested, but too many fast moves made her nervous; second toy (fish...with catnip...didn't realize that's what was inside!), she started rolling all over it and rubbing and rubbing and rolling and slobbering on it. I had to take it away and then I got nervous that I had lowered her defenses against potential predators. Luckily, I got her to jump up into the soft bed I had made her (another first!) and she slept there for a few hours...I blocked the screen door with a maze of lawn chairs that she could get out of but predators would struggle with. THEN, last night, I threw down a little stuffed mousey. She ran over and pounced and batted and bit and batted and swatted and then picked it up and ran out into the yard (it was dark outside). o_O Dangit! I ran inside to grab a flashlight and tracked her down to get the mousey back. LOL! She did it one more time before I finally put the mousey away. Lastly, I think she's busted one of the screens to get up into my house's soffit/attic. While I'm happy that she has a dry/warm place to escape to...I'm not ok with her being up in my attic, getting into whatever gross stuff is up there (insulation, etc.) and what other animals can get up there?!?! ugh!

Hope everyone has a lovely Monday. Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

We have butt-over-the-edge incidents at times, too. My guess with the morning vomit would be excess stomach acid....not unusual for older kitties at all. Obviously I recommend talking to your vetty, but the usual starting dose for pepcid (famotadine) is 2.5mg (one quarter of a basic 10mg Pepcid AC tablet), given at bedtime.

It sounds like your feral is warming up to you...very sweet!

Morning Deborah :coffee::coffee::coffee:

:), we have those LB issues too.... I like your WCR Shasta, you are doing well. I too would think maybe pepcid would be in order to deal with what sounds like stomach acid. I'd ask your vet too, but hope that would be a normal request for him. I don;t think he'd be against it. ope so anyways.

wow on the feral, alot of progress there. How fun on the catnip, and the play. That is great. I think she likes you. and what to so about that attic... good luck!

Have a great day today. Hope all goes well.

We gave Zantac to Zener, same antacid effect plus some motility benefit. Does Shasta have IBD? Too funny on the feral catnip addiction! Have a great day, Deborah! I'm off to shovel 6" of snow.
