Back to the lagoon for Trix :D!

Trix had a nice big drop yesterday morning, and then bounced back to upper blues last night....bummer that I wasn't home for a +9 snack to stop that bounce. She don't care 'bout no stinkin' numbers, though....what a happy kitty with an ecstatic appy she was last night :cat:!

This morning was our usual routine, too...continued happy appy and snuggles. Gelcaps have been smooth (anti-jinx!) lately...she really knows how to toss that pill back now, so as long as I don't screw up the placement we're good to go. Banana meds...well...they're going down still, but she DOES try to get away from me when she sees me coming ! Fortunately she doesn't actually bolt - she knows it's a losing battle, but she does walk the other way...can't blame her for hoping. Today was another "swat and wriggle away" day with them....the end is in sight, though, Trix!

(@Serryn...LOL on the banana smoothie! Personally even I can't look at a banana right now!!!)

I took this picture of Trix roasting her belly this morning...all the pictures I took came out pretty grainy and dark for some reason, but when I went back to re-shoot, she had moved, so this was the best of the batch. This is one of many poses she frequently uses...note how she pushes the bed out of the way, yet skillfully places it so it traps the maximum amount of heat in that little nook that she created :woot:! Noah likes to wedge himself in that same spot...they do get really toasty there.

My parents arrived safely in Hawaii...the flight was on time, but apparently getting from the airport to the hotel was a bit of a fiasco. But, as I told them, that - along with bad airplane food - is all part of the adventure! I'm relieved they are there safe and sound.

Another work day for me...looks like I'm not off again until Saturday. Time to get it started. Sending extra prayers out to Gracie for a smooth and safe dental!!

Have a great day, LL!

Amy

ETA: @Michelle and Mannie (GA) - Petey does look a bit like Mannie...but Petey is a little pipsqueak and he has a tail :joyful:!

What a clever (and warm-bellied) kitty!! She looks like she's in 7th Heaven!!

I'm sure you're both looking forward to the end of the banana meds! That's just a few more days if I remember right

Sounds like your parents are getting the "true Hawaiian Adventure"...LOL Hope the rest of their trip is smooth and they make lots of great memories!

Happy kitty with an ecstatic appy?? Life is good! :)

Toby likes to curl up near the heat vent in cold weather. At least your parents are in warm weather. Glad they arrived safely. Hope they have a nice trip. Trixie looks very comfy.

What a great picture. Trixie is such a smart girl. I'm glad she's doing so well. I'm glad your parents made it safely. I hope they enjoy themselves.

Clever girl Trixie you look so comfy :)

I am very easily influenced by the board :) I think I'll be having another banana smoothie for breakfast following mention of the banana meds! Tricia made bourbon balls the other day so I found myself cracking a can of Jim Beam - for breakfast! And now that Ella's on the cherry juice I've got cravings for that! Probably arises from forgetting to eat a bit with the extra kitty on board...

Rusty will have to spend lots of time warming his belly on the radiator after he gets his ultrasound and shave next week. Maybe Trixie will come over and show him how best to arrange the spot!

I really dislike bananas; it must be off-putting to smell them in meds!!!

Glad your folks got to Hawaii safely and hope they will have a wonderful vacation.

Have a good evening, Amy,

Ella & Rusty

What a cute picture! Hooray for a Happy WCR!!! Go Trixie! :D:D I have to smile when you wrote about Trixie avoiding you when she could see the bottle of Banana Meds- Tiger was the same when she had to have Carafate, it was some weird orangy smelling stuff and she hated it and me for awhile. At least she's almost done with it!

Well now, that's a smarty cat all right. Creating her own little cozy nook. My goofuguses yell for open windows even when it's below freezing. And then, of course, yell at me because sitting in the windows is cold. No brilliance in this house!

Excellent WCR today. It's great that the excellent reports have become the norm.

Hope your folks are having a great get-away. Tropical!
