Report from vet -
She thinks of his back teeth is pretty bad, but couldn't tell if extraction is needed. I scheduled the "surgery" on the 8th to get him all cleaned up. I pretty much said, if the tooth looks gone, just extract it. I dont want to have to wrry that it will be bad again in 6 months.
The vet likes that his numbers are coming down. I can tell that she doesn't want me to go too low. Basically, she wants him at 200 preshot. Remission is my goal, so I just nodded.

i did say I wanted him below the renal threshold and she agreed thats a good goal.
He has some how gained 2lbs? But last visit they used a baby scale and not the table scale, so I think that is skewed some. She didnt seem concerned he is gaining some back. (He was suppose to loose a little more, but I'd rather have him gain a bit because it means his body isn't eating itself anymore!!!)
His pupils were even working better today and has been in good spirits the past week.
Bonus: someone donated an unused lantus pen! So my vet snagged it for me. She walked in and was like "i have a gift for you! A pen!" And for a second, i thought she meant a writing pen LOL
Also, she thinks he has maine coon blood, which would account for his size. But I guess his ears are distinct??? And hisnextra coat? Who knew... never occurred to me since he is a short hair.
And thats it for now... gonna test for the +11 in a minute.
(And i typed all this on my phone, so im sure its riddled in typos)
