    Good morning LL! :coffee: :coffee:

Bee woke me up with her whiskers tickling my face. Empty food bowls & time for a snack before fast time. A whole can of FF kind of snack. Bee sure can eat for such a tiny little thing!

She's holding on to the nice blue streak she ran all night, but it doesn't look like we're going to repeat the am greens we had yesterday. It's ok Bee, we're getting there! cat_pet_icon

    Happy Caturday everyone!

    Nancy:

You fed an entire can of FF at +10? I'm a little concerned that your AMPS is going to reflect some degree of food spike. We generally suggest not to feed 2 hrs before PS times.

a whole can? lol, thaz some snack Bee!

do u use a timed feeder Nancy?
just for future reference, try to get that snack in before ur +10
hopefully it wont give u too much of a food spike for +12

Well I did get that food spike! I thought it was ok to feed up to 2 hours before dose time. Guess I was wrong, huh. ohmygod_smile
Does this affect her entire cycle or just until the insulin kicks in??

I usually just free feed & Bee will snack as she needs to. There's always something left over when I get back from tbp. But the bowl is often empty in the morning. Should I leave more food out overnight so she's not so hungry when we wake up?

lol, doh is right! lol, it's ok, I've seen beans giving the snack anywhere from +8 thru to +9, my own at the latest was +9.5 for that snack.

u could leave more food out to tie her over, others also, if they're up or around, pull the dish at +10

did she eat much when u shot?

I guess we'll have to wait and see what she has in store for u!! hee heee

She ate a few bites but not much, Ronnie. Looks like we got our snack & breffus times reversed today!!

Have to work another long shift today, but will get in a +1 check before I have to leave for the day. Off tomorrow & time for a mini-curve...but don't tell Bee just yet.

It shouldn't influence the entire cycle. I think the bigger concern was that if Bee was at an even lower number at +10 and you fed, you might be shooting an artificially higher PS. If we didn't realize that there was already food on board and you shot, we wouldn't know to monitor closely (if necessary). What this does tell us, though, is that Bee's numbers may be easily influenced by food. It's good data.

YES you and Bee are getting there. I agree with Sienne that the AMPS might have been a little affected by that FF.

Keep up the good work you two! Have a wonderfully purrfect day!!

Okay, Bee. We're sorry that your snackies are going to have to be timed. But you;ll thank your bean in the end!

    Have a great evening!

Morris is (or was) 17 lbs. and only ate 1/2 can at a sitting...Bee has got an appetite, for sure! How does she maintain her girlish figure??
Not all cats spike that much from low carb food...Morris goes up maybe 10-15 points. Now, Temptations, that's a whole nuther story!

YESSSSSSS!!!!! She finally did this when you're home! So test, test, test tonight so we can see what's going on. Then we'll know better what to do when she does this when you're on the way out to work (because you know she will).

Sounds like a plan, Libby. And I'm off tomorrow! :thumbup

I think I know what to do if Bee starts to drop too low, but I hope someone else will be around tonight!

Bee is hanging on to a flat green & snacking right along. No food spike happening tonight! nailbite_smile

Will keep on testing. She's a little miffed at all the pokes, but oh well!
