Wednesday's Condo

Yesterday was a stressful day - between work - which I'd say is extremely demanding right now - more so than usual..mom being in the hospital and this talk about the COVID-19 virus...I'm a germaphobe already and I find it astonishing that restaurants and stores are NOW announcing how they're cleaning their facilities. Why haven't they been cleaning their facilities prior to this?

I find it appalling that everyone has been so blasé about germs prior to this? Maybe it's the wakeup call we've all needed?

I for one have stepped up my cleaning and wiping down all surfaces with cleaning products that I already owned - astonishingly people are out there buying it all - NOW...what did they clean with before? Or did they?

Back to work...hope to keep a better eye on Luci today...no increase threat for her today.

Prayers for your mom Sue - I was quite late on the worrying part of this virus, but I did previously use toilet paper, good grief!! It's big news around town if a store has tp in stock!! Costco is out of toilet paper and paper towels. Since we shop there anyway, we had plenty of supplies, including those beloved Clorox wipes.
My dad is high risk, and we quit taking him to doc appts - phoning results in instead of having to go in person, is what we have started. Protect your elders in every way now. Even those of us around 60 need to be cautious.

I missed about your mom. Hope everything is okay. My dad's facility just went on lock down. I'm not a germaphobe but I always use clorox/Lysol wipes when I go to work. Wipe everything down before I touch it. To many residents who don't wash hands. To many employees and visitors who borrow pens and the phone. Touch the counter when signing in. Residents who go out for the day..........

One thing no one mentions. If weather is decent, open windows, get fresh air going.
 
Mom is still in the hospital - although she sounded much better today. Possibly tomorrow or the next day she'll be discharged. The hospital stresses her out and she can't remember anything - thinks a nurse 'doesn't like her'... I'm never sure what that's about...but she always ends up saying to me 'don't say anything about that girl'...I'm like, what girl? I don't know what happened mom...what did she say...well she didn't say much... Then mom, why would she dislike you? She doesn't even know you?? I never understand what that's about...she says it often...if someone looks at her sideways, immediately she's saying 'they don't like me'... huh?
