He is sliding faster than I am comfortable with. Almost 130 points in about 1.75 hrs. Should I feed some med. carb now?

Personally I'd stick with LC for now to keep him surfing but check again in an hour or so.

ETA - as long as you're going to home :)

Sorry I had to jump out for a bit. Did you give HC at +6? Otherwise Shoe's surfed real nice there for a while. Always do what you feel comfortable with especially if you need to leave.

That's my issue. I need to go to a funeral at 10:45 a.m. or at least pay a visit.
Tested at 10:44 when I returned from funeral home. Did paw just to see if he would allow it and to potentially give his ears a break. The drop was not as large and the number was 97. Deleted from SS because it was not a accurate number. Retested in ear at 10:46 am +5 and it was 125.

I gave a little bit of Friskies, 1.5 teaspoons of Friskies 8% plus 1/4 tsp of Nutrical and 1/2 tsp. FF HC gravy all from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. It kept him the same until I could get back from the funeral home. Thanks for asking.

You never know when it will come in handy and you'll be glad you can go back and find things. I also put the link into punkin's spreadsheet whenever there was something unusual going on, or if someone gave me an explanation that I wanted to keep. I just copied the URL (web address above) and pasted it in the comments cell of that day's spreadsheet row.

In response to your question above, it is a good idea to try to help a cat go slower if they are dropping very quickly. If the blood sugar drops too quickly, it can set off another bounce. How fast is too fast is probably different from cat to cat, but a slow drop is best, say less than 50 points or so per hour.
