That may be but if I clap or talk to hm from behind he doesn't respond. I have to be real careful not to startle him. I try to hit the carpet gently so he feels tge vibration. He's totally deaf. My vet said its common in older cats.SO close to the lagoon, Max....go ahead now....stick that big toe in ...and then the whole foot, the ankle and then the knee!!
Cats are strange beasts when it comes to sounds...I've seen China totally ignore tornado sirens, shotgun blasts and even the alarm they have at the jail directly behind my house that could wake the dead.....but if there's a tiny little squeak from a mouse (or in our case, a mouse toy) she's after it!
