    yesterday: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10394

I am hoping this ugly red is a result of bouncing. Hopefully, as he adjusts to this new dose, that will go away. This morning was dose #4 at the new dose.

WCR: All P's working well today.

I have been having a lazy start to my day (that is why I am late in posting!)......today's plans include housework & errands. I will try to time my errands around checks on Morris.

I also purchased new ketostix as suggested the other day (it was suggested here that I should still be testing him periodically even though my vet said I didn't need to any more). After a tough day of watching TV with Morris, I finally was able to follow him to the litterbox & get a test done! He is negative.

    hi gwen.

been looking at morris' ss. yes he is a bouncy cat. yet it looks like he may still be responding to that 172

BUT also just thinking/wondering/throwing this out there :
he has really had a month of ugly numbers and many increases...........
you did say his wcr is ok........ no signs of UTI or CP flare or ??
spring also can bring on seasonal allergies for kitties..... not sure what your weather is like in BC, I am in snowy WNY and the trees are in bud and the flowers are starting to peek out from the ground.... and my civie is schneezing (me too!) morris ever have any allergies??
ok that's all I can come up with. just trying to see if there might be something else going on.

keep up the good work !!

Wanted to add one more question to Cheryl's good ones. How old is your insulin? I couldn't find it in SS.

Nope....he has been fine (other than the ugly numbers)

Not that I know of. How would you know if a cat has allergies? He is an indoor only cat now.

Started with evening dose on Mar 17

allergies ( mine is indoors too but I open windows on warmer spring days.
Wolf gets schneezy. other cats will pull out fur.

re your new cart -- has your fridge been ok? nothing frozen or too warm?
I want an easy slap on the forehead / light bulb goes off answer to these high numbers and this ugly month of March.

when's the last time he was at the vets?

    Haven't noticed either with Morris

It has been the same as always.

Since his p~itis flare, I am now feeding him higher carb food than what I used to. I used to feed mostly Friskies with 3% carbs & lower....now I am feeding mostly Merrick Cowboy Cookout as it is lower fat & has 5% carbs.

Back in Feb with the whole p~itis flare, etc.

I'm glad to hear the ketones were negative.

Still dropping. Looks like he may try to go low tonight while I am sleeping & bounce again tomorrow! Sure hope not, but it is looking that way!

How often should I test him for ketones?
