Good morning, all!

What a night! I never made it back here last evening because at +1.5, our power went out (tremendous windstorm) and came back on at PMPS minus 7 minutes! Of course, I was home alone and my phone was on 17% battery so I was really cut off for a while.

We have no heat or water when the power goes, which is not a lot of fun. When there is a hurricane or snow storm coming, we prepare a little but this came as a surprise.

We decided to feed Rosie extra food, including some 7%, and not keep trying to test in the pitch dark with ice-cold ears. (Seemed like candles should be able to be used as ear warmers, but Rosie said no to trying.) I thought she might be itching to go down into the low 60s or 50s but we just fed (that 71 @+4 was an hour after a good-sized snack) and kept an eye on her. She was at a nice 98 this morning, and looks good.

Wishing a happy, purry day to all in L&L Land!

Wow on the windstorm knocking your power out. I'm glad you finally got it back on. It's no fun testing without lights. I use a headlamp to help me see Furball's dark ears and it comes in handy when the power goes out. I'm glad Rosie stayed safe for you. It looks like she's going to have another nice surf today.

Good start there Rosie! We had terrible winds here in PA also last night. It didn't help my insomnia with hearing things banging around outside and envisioning my wrought table and chairs slamming around. Glad you got you power back!

Awww....what a party pooper!!! ;)

Glad you got your power back today! I know how it is when everything revolves around electricity. My parents lived in an all-electric house too...if there was no power, there was nothing there either! Luckily they lived on a lakefront so if we HAD to, we could get buckets of water to flush with....lol

Hope Rosie has a good day!

I was reading your comment about the power outages and thought "hey we had that in CT too" then looked at your sig and saw you lived here also lol. We were okay down here Mystic way but I passed out early last night and would have missed all the excitement anyway. Glad you got power back and Rosie behaved and stayed in the lagoon:)

Bummer on the power outages! I'm glad you have your power back. We're supposed to get some of that wind here tonight.
Several years ago we had a Generac generator installed. Best thing we ever did. The minute the power goes out, it kicks in. Ours runs on a propane tank.
Rosie, you were a brave girl in the big wind storm!

Have a calm evening, Lydia!

p.s. Elvis IS in the post office: there's a new Elvis stamp!!

Decent evening for Rosie, but not spectacular. She continues to act great and I can practically hear her pancreas healing.

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA), another Elvis! Now, it's "a thing."

Thank you, everyone, for commiserating about the power. We lose it a lot here. our town is something like 90% woods. Which is great but has its downsides. On the whole, I'll take it, since we have so many creatures out there to watch.
