4/23 Biscuits amps 582 increased to 8.5 +4/562pmps high +3 high

Olive was at 8.75 and climbing when she got tested.

You will know what your dealing with when they are done. Of course I hope both are negative.

Strange as it sounds I was actually relieved when Olive's came back positive.

It wasn't the amount of insulin she was getting that worried me. It was that her glucose were high and nothing seemed to be working, and she just wasn't well. It set her up for other organ damage and dka. And had no idea why. Even considered switching to Vetsulin so I could dose every 8 hours. Or adding R insulin into the mix.

But when came back positive, it just upped the plan, found what treatments were available, what meds we could give to make her more comfortable. The whole way you think about diabetes changes, at least it did for me. It's more about treating the acro and it's symptoms because that is what's causing the diabetes as well as other issues. Olive as a whole now compared to 1 yr ago is night and day.

One thing I always try to tell members is not to get attached to a dose. If a kitty needs more insulin, for whatever reason, it does. I’m hopeful the tests will come back negative but, as we tell the CG if it doesn’t, at least you know what you are dealing with and, as Paula said, you can make a plan. We can help. There are a lot of great members, like Paula, who can be a big help and a great support for anyone who has to deal with a high dose condition.

But....we are still going to hope it’s just that he’s been at high numbers for so long and it might take more insulin to get the glucose toxicity under control.

Did you see my post last night in yesterday’s condo?

Yes I did see it. I'll look at the SS .
Confusing to me, I'm not numbers oriented ! I do see it was not as high as Biscuits but it did drop and the insulin did accordingly.
