Yesterday

Well today she starts with a lower number! Yesterday she didn't seem to respond to the insulin at all until +2 which were both down ...unfortunately Luci had no time for the Lagoon yesterday either...just snubbed the whole idea...I thought she was sorta going that way in the a.m. but a tiny drop of MC scared her away completely...

Maybe today - after all those yellows later in the day and last night??? I can only hope.
 
Perhaps this morning she'll head back to green, with PS being lower(a falling PS) than the numbers earlier in the cycle, it may well be that she is clearing the bounce.
A falling PS can signal an active cycle to follow (this was one of the reasons I liked getting a +11 when I could). You might find she drops early this morning. (take a look at the pm cycle of 4/21 amps on 4/22.... see a similarity??)
I'd vote for a +1 today.

All that said she seems to have lost her mojo on this dose, so if you don't see green today you may want to start thinking about taking the dose up tomorrow morning. Although she got to 50 on this dose those nadirs have crept up, she's got to green but only just.

Per my notes from a recent thread about when to decrease - one time under 40 - so now we go back to 1.5 starting tonight. Hope she'll get up on her surfboard soon...she's eating her HC teaspoons - and seems to be feeling just fine. Her usual belligerent self - out on the lanai now relaxing - I'm testing every 30 minutes until she's over 50...and will be watching her closely all day.

I'm just thankful she's not one to have other symptoms! :rolleyes::rolleyes:

So at 136 she seemed like she was coasting along nicely - and with her past few days - I thought she'll be under 100 in an hour! However at 61 I'm thinking - well there she goes - a little steering now - not too much! Don't want to scare her out of the lagoon - a little LC and MC - and then the PLUNGE! Aaaarrrrggghhh....why? The other day I tried to steer her at 122 and messed it all up...away she zoomed...today I tried to steer and messed it all up too - just in the opposite direction! I wish she could just tell me what's going on...so I could help her better...other than testing her every 30 minutes when she's going down how would I best steer her away from the sharks? Or keep her from leaving the beach entirely???? This is so perplexing!

So today did pan out almost like 4/21, as I hinted in my earlier post it looked like she might be heading that way. Make a note to yourself to watch her when she drops into PS like that.

Good job with the food steering, and the notes.

Did you give a little more HC when you got that 40?
you need to keep testing and giving carb every 20min until she comes up above 50.
Please don't become complacent.
 
I want to confirm you had 166 at +1, correct? The SS shows 136.

Bravo on testing again at +2.5 to see how the LC/MC worked to keep Luci surfing after the 61, instead of waiting until +3 so you caught the 31 right away.

Luci just doesn't want to be a predictable cat. :blackeye:

It was 136 - I wrote incorrectly on the thread title. I'll keep testing every 30 min until she's above 50.

Complacent isn't in my vocabulary when it comes to my Luci girl! :) I'm testing every 30 minutes until she gets above 50.
Feeding HC food at every poke (so currently that's every 30 minutes she gets a teaspoon full of 21% FF with cheddar cheese/gravy style - and laps all of it up.

You're suggesting every 20 minutes now - is 30 not fast enough? She does seem to be responding to the HC food...at half hourly intervals - looks and acts like herself - no symptoms of hypo. Relaxing on the lanai at the present moment...wish I could say the same for me...not relaxing at all....:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

I've noticed that before as well - the minute the word dosecrease is mentioned she puts on her leg weights and goes deep diving! I'm sure she's telepathic now!!:D

I just gave her a tiny bit of HC - that will be her last one - hope she'll surf for a while now. Should I test again in 30 minutes? Or wait the full hour? Still she's showing no symptoms of hypo.

It was 52 ...I'm so upset and running so much to test her...among other things going on here today - that I can't type! So sorry...I fed her a little MC at this last poke. Will test her again in 30 minutes...she growled at me this last time...I think she's had enough testing...:mad:

Whew... I would take 52 anytime. Good call to do MC instead of HC. :bighug:
 
Whew! She's coming up nicely now. Just a little LC at 5+ to keep her in the lagoon ... will test again in one hour.

Thanks for the catch! And Luci has officially gone back to the beach - she sure has given me a run this morning! With all the testing - I'm exhausted! Do you think I can test in 2 hours? I typically test while she's in the lagoon hourly - or if swimming with the sharks - every 30 min...now it looks like she's safely ashore...and could use a break. Her surfing was a bit chaotic today...after all that diving with the darn sharks - I'm exhausted - she's feeling excellent as usual. :D:D
