Day 2 of Level II Patience Course - instructor Jones.
Well, got a green yesterday but I think that is more because he really didn't eat during the day. I believe the same happened Saturday for those greens - the CPI (cheeked pill incident). Ate more last night - he seems to be back on the FF again - so picked up some more cans. He really likes just eating out of the can.
About every 3rd/4th day is just not good for calorie intake. He needs more overall to maintain weight or gain back what he lost. I have been putting crumbled up freeze dried treats - which help but then he just loses interest. Can't do cheese or tuna water as he is allergic. Tried to add some hot water, didn't see any improvement. He will go and sniff but not eat sometimes I noticed. No licking of lips - may be more disinterest for may be a little tummy upset?? There is no difference from when he was on the pred, so I know it isn't the bude. Don't want to use the appetite stimulants all the time, so I am thinking of adding is some SEB into his regime - the question is how? I give him the cerenia (which I was hoping to actually bring down to every 2nd day eventually - not this week though!) and metronidazole at AMPS (which I was also hoping to drop to every 24 hours eventually and then down to every second day). And he gets metronidazole and budesonide at PMPS. May be he is constipated from the metronidazole?? Have some time to figure out a plan this is not part of this weeks plan.
That said - we are seeing consistent blues in the last few cycles which I am happy with. Looks like the bude is having the same affect on his BG as the pred so far. Will see what happens over the remaining part of the week.
