This is day 3 of the new plan. I had a very nasty surprise this morning. This patience course is getting a little tough right now. I missed the memo on the surprise exam.

This is the second yellow in awhile. He had the budesonide last night just like all previous nights. I did give him some SEB - +2 hours after his usual meds and shots - test at the time was 169 (which may have food influenced as he just had a small bite with the SEB about 15 mins before). I started the SEB for both him and CKD Civvie to see if I could improve their appetite without the stimulants. That number is actually high but PMPS wasn't - maybe should of been my first clue. DS did not mid day test yesterday as he came home and fell asleep. (Insert dirty look). :mad:

So, I am now here trying to think what has happened. Did he go low yesterday as the pred is cleaned out of his body and the budesonide is taking over. Did the SEB affect things (he did eat most of his food overnight). I noticed blood on the syringe yesterday (as I did the shot further down on his front side then usual) but wasn't concerned as the site didn't bleed.

And to top it off...I think I forgot his morning dose. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: It is now 3 hours later. Guess that becomes a NS.

:arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh:

Oh all sorts of 'doo doo' happenin' in your world! It stinks when you aren't sure you shot or not - been there, done that, got the T-shirt! :) Unfortunately that's all on MY head 'cos hubby doesn't get anywhere near a needle...

Same here. I was trying to get everything done and I usually get food ready, test and pill Jones, feed everyone, get needle ready, when Jones is done give shot. I usually have time for my own meds. Hubby was in my way - he is excited as he has finished physio after his big accident and after 8 months may be able to start looking for work again. He was a real chatty cathy this morning.

I remember everything up to the part of getting needle ready...nothing after.

Don't be hard on yourself. Jones will get back on track if you forgot the shot. I once found a syringe full of insulin the next day and wasn't sure if I had missed the AM or PM shot. I didn't have the distraction of someone else either. We all do it. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
