Yesterday. Long day and night with Olive yesterday. Last night when she hit the 84 I intervened because I didn't want a repeat of the day, it can't be good to have hypos back to back. Got to bed @ 4am. Up at 7am. I hope the depot has depleted some for this morning. I definitely have to go to dad's facility today.

Going to stop at dollar store for potato flakes and honey. How long is a tube of icing good for once opened? Wish they came smaller. Is icing gel good to use?

Now I have to get ready to leave.

Did she have any symptoms yesterday or was I just low numbers? Unfortunately Doodles had a ER trip because I wasn't home testing and therefore he would sometimes get disoriented/ wobbly in low numbers. I used Natural Balance pouches with honey because he needed quite a bit to get his numbers up and sometimes to stay up. Once they have low numbers sometimes they become more sensitive to insulin. Of course with his IAA who knows what/why he was the way he was.

Never underestimate the power of the depot especially with higher doses. You're doing a great job and hope Olive surfs safely today.

No symptoms except sleeping in between pokes. Once poked she got right up to eat.

I figured today and tonight the depot will still be a force to reckon with. I will test before I leave and decide whether to bring her with me. It just a lot of extra stuff I have to pack up. It's so much easier to deal with at home.

You and Olive certainly had a busy day yesterday! Great to see her working the juice although I've told her hitting the 30s and 40s really aren't necessary!

You must be exhausted Paula. :bighug: I’m glad you’re getting to go see your dad though, he will appreciate that. I hope Olive lets you nap a bit when you return. ;)

I wouldn’t use the icing or gel (it’s fine if that’s all you had on hand, but I mean in the future) because it likely has a lot of additives, artificial coloring and preservatives that you probably don’t want Olive to have. I’m sure the tube is chock full of preservatives and should last for some time once opened.

I guess she didn't listen. I knew it would happen eventually. Once you break through the toxicity they barrel down until they stabilize. Just have to wait out the depot.

Hope you get a nap today! While I am sure you are elated that she is finally cracking, I know you must be exhausted. Behave today Olive .

She is still dropping but hubby will be home. Her fed is set for +6 & +9. I just gave her a tsp of 12% carbs. I should be home by +9. Since I wasn't at facility yesterday, I need to do his laundry today. I can bring it home if I have to. He is only 20 minutes away. I'm going to pick up a ice cream sundae for him (and me).

I have the icing in case I have to travel with Olive when she runs low, it's easier to deal with than honey or syrup should I need to take her with me when she gets low. I can always use the icing for me when I need it for my episodes (hypoglycemic). Wish hubby would test, but it is what it is. He will make sure she eats (probably to much).

I have to go today to pay the facility bill, get them to sign the reimbursement form for insurance, dad needs to endorse checks for me to bank, see how he is after his transfusions the other day, check on his medication supply. I order his meds, they administer them. The drug plan has messed them up royally so I've been getting them straighten out. Still have 2 to find out where the issue lies.

Get him ready for going out tomorrow (not much for me to do) but make sure everything we need for him to go out is ready (papers, supplies, equipment).

She was sitting on her testing spot so I figured she wanted to be tested. Here's hoping I get to sleep more than 1 hr at a time tonight.
