    Mornin' LL-

I had a great Easter with my family I haven't seen since Christmas. It was a much-needed visit! My SIL is going to give birth to my soon to be nephew, Matthew soon. They think he's breach!

Boomer did okay so far with no insulin last night.
ETA: He's not on trial, I missed his PM shot.

Nope, Boomer isn't on trial, I just missed him PM shot due to not making it home on time. Sorry for the confusion. I'll edit my post.

    Hi Devon-

I know, what a nice surprise. Ya never know. His spread sheet has improved a lot over the last week. Maybe because of the auto-feeder?

I have been told that he's close to a trial by some folks here. Maybe if he keeps this up for a few more days I'll get the go ahead?

I think.. that I am not the best person to ask :)..

I look at his SS and see that he was at least 94 last night.. and 74 this morning.. after 24 hours with no insulin.. even if there is a shed effect on whatever the heck 1 drop is.. it was gone by morning.. my question is, how long can he hold that.. that's what a trial is..shrug..

The thinking is I assume.. to help him along until he shows some burning bush.. the missed shot results look at the very least like a smoldering bush to me.. but what do I know! :) a few days ago you caught a 122.. which probably lends itself to helping him along.. I guess I would say it depends on how confident you are that the 1 drop is actually a drop or nothing at all.. these tiny doses are insane..

But like I said.. I'm not a good person to ask :)

    Hi Dawn-

I appreciate your analysis! I stink at analyzing other people's spread sheets, though I'm getting better. I guess we'll see what happens tonight at PM. I hope he eats the food in the autofeeder today - he's fussy and sometimes doesn't eat what I leave him even though I KNOW he'd eat if I left him the RIGHT food, ya know?

Nicole (the happiest, most positive person in LL) -

Thank you for your good cheer! I read your post about your being scared about Baby dropping while you're gone. I've SO been there. I sae you're taking a half day. What a good fur-mom you are.

I really like Baby's new picture - very pretty.

    Hi Paige-

I call him Boom Boom too sometimes!

WCR: whining, running around, making a mess of his food, complaining, etc. His normal self. I found out he really loves ham. My god, he was eating my leftovers off my plate and I was getting pissed. I was eating off the coffee table in the living room and I couldn't keep him away!

I'm not sure I understand Dawn's analogy. I do think it helps to insure that an OTJ trial is a success if the pancreas can be supported by insulin for as long as possible. Boomer's numbers look good. There are some higher than normal numbers within the last two weeks so providing as much support for as long as possible seems a reasonable course of action.
