Last night Hamilton refused to eat. We were mortified. We tried hand feeding him, putting his food in the blender, and went through every can we had in the house until he finally decided he liked whole earth duck. It’s 0.8% phosphorus, so it’s not the best option for kidneys, but eating is better than not eating. He ate breakfast and dinner quite happily, so we’ll stick with this food until he decides differently.

He had started hissing and running from injections, so we gave him a break from fluids this morning and he seemed to have a happier day. I just don’t want to torture him and am trying to stick to the goal of giving him happy days.

Our little Rooney (we call her Moomee) has been attending to him with the sweetest care. She sits with him and grooms him (when he’ll allow it) and she will get up through the night to check on him. These guys melt my heart.

Eating is always better than not eating. Glad to her you got him to eat something.

Leo is going thru that phase too. He likes 1/8 of a can of something. Then the next meal he treats it like poison. Jeez!

Great pics of your kids. They are so sweet.

The best food is what ever he'll eat. You can always add phosphorus binders.

Cute pic of the fur kids snuggling.

Vines for a good day tomorrow. :bighug:
