Another "Normal" Day

I can't complain about Harvey's numbers. They are awesome (anti-jinx)!!! His appy still needs prodding, unfortunately. He ate all his t/f/s meal this morning, but just picked at his breakfast, so he got the tummy meds and I'm just waiting for them to kick in (any minute now....). Other than that, same old, same old!

Weird to not have a NASCAR race on Sunday. I had planned to try my exercises, as my heel feels better after a day of rest, but I've lollygagged around all morning and now DH wants to make a Costco run, so no time. Darn! ;)

Day 7 today! Can't believe I've made it a week! We had shish-ka-bob, salad and roast potatoes last night. Didn't feel like dieting, except for the absence of wine. :( I did have to search around to find a marinade without soy sauce in it, but the balsalmic vinegar-based one I tried was a hit with Mark, so that worked out!

Well, I've been doing some heavy condo reading (the most complicated ones, of course) and not accomplished anything, so I'd better go get ready to go out. Got my permission slip from the boss. :cat: BBL. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday, and you Canadian members, enjoying your long weekend. We get ours next week! :woot:

Sending healing vines to all in need, especially Toby, and hugs to all their beans, with extras for Peg. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Nice that Harvey signed your permission slip to go out!! Looks like he and China are taking it easy on us beans today

Hey....no need to completely skip your exercise routine....just walk up and down each aisle at Costco...that should be a pretty good workout!!

Congratulations on completing week 1 of your "lifestyle change" (aka, diet). Your dinner last night does sound pretty good!!....even without the wine :(

OK now Harvey....You and China be good kitties and don't keep us beans up all night just because you were good today!!

Thanks for the visits, Chris, Jayla, Carla and Sandi. We have bookends! :)

I tried a flavor of FF Harvey hadn't had in a while, and the jury's still out. He only ate about a third of his dinner, which was disappointing, as he had been begging for food for the previous hour and a half! If he doesn't eat more of it soon I guess I'll trot out one of the usual flavors. Just trying to give him some variety!

@Chris & China I didn't walk all the aisles at Costco, but more than half for sure. I also did a little bit of Home Depot and Walmart. And we walked all the way across the Home Depot parking lot and back, because we left the truck at the carwash on the corner while we went into the store. Although that probably doesn't equal one of my two mile walks, it might come close to the one mile. I'll take it.

You could substitute beer for wine??

Yo Deputy Harvey, Nice to see you in the lagoon today (and you did a great job yesterday). See you later?

Thanks Ella, but that won't work for two reasons - 1. It's on the no-no list (no grains of any kind and no alcohol) and 2. I don't like beer!

Thanks, Master Rusty. I's trying to show up every day for work! Mama is so proud!

Well, there's always iced tea.
No, actually. I don't really like iced tea. And no sweeteners of any kind, so I couldn't even have hot tea (can't drink it without sweetener). Options are pretty much pure fruit or vegetable juice or water, plain tea or black coffee (which I also don't like). Not terribly exciting, but what diet is?

BREAKING NEWS: We have CPC!

have you tried www.yummly.com
you can do a personal preference and eliminate ingredients....

i found a bang bang chicken recipe that my dh and ds like....
apparently that's a thai selection..... but i can't have coconut, or ginger, and shouldn't have soy ( not too much anyway)
so i'll never get to eat at a thai restaurant....

Woohoo on the CPC!!!!
We went to this giant Costco in the city and boy is it HUGE!!! I wish we had a Costco here but we are dominated by Walmart. There are two (and our town isn't that huge) and a Sam's Club.

Yay for CPC!!! One thing with Trix, which may be totally different for Harvey...I found that if I gave her too many options, it made her even MORE fussy about eating (and me more stressed about her being fussy), which is why I have ultimately held her at just two to choose from. I'd rather she have more variety, but it was really backfiring for both of us.

I'm gonna create a "How to Enjoy Drinking Water" class for you and my Dad :p:p:p!!
