Eleanor decided she didn't want her insulin. Had a terrible struggle with her hissing and growling and biting (she has no teeth). I could tell she wouldn't be going to sleep any time soon so no chance of sneaking up on her. I *think* the full dose went into her.

I got two apologetic cuddles, along with purrs and kisses.
She did eat on her own again and had a pudding poop. Then played in her cardboard box, where she is now napping.

I'm going to try to get subq fluids into her at +6, she nearly always fights that, all I can do is try.

Unless there is a huge change in her BG I'll increase her dose back up to 3.25. Her BG very well could be so high though just because of the inflammation.

UPDATE. Okay I increased the dose back to 3.25u. Gave subq fluids earlier.
Eleanor let me do both without fighting! She's eating on her own now.

Hang in there; it can be exhausting when your cat has other medical problems - had that with Spitzer.

Is the pudding poo new, or ongoing? Sometimes, pancreatitis can knock down the function of the digestive enzymes, which will cause some diarrhea and possibly malabsorption. If it is new, you may want to discuss supplemental digestive enzymes with your vet (prescription level, not over the counter).

If my cat I would want to test to see if needed as it can some cats to not eat. It's definitely a possibility. Unfortunately there are other more sinister reasons for this. Is the vomiting projectile? Tiffany had that about once a week and pudding stool but just once a day.
 
Pancreatitis is suspected even though the test was negative. I treat "as if" when there is an episode of vomiting, pain. With pain med, cerenia, subq fluids.
She was doing the above about every month then I started being sure she ate every three hours, now it happens every few months but usually is not severe for more than a few hours (as opposed to several days as it was before the 3 hour feedings). The diarrhea seemed to be separate from the other symptoms, until recently.

The diarrhea started right after her companion cat died (CRF/heart two months short of her 19th birthday) in February 2014. It was just occasional though. Then it picked up speed a few moths ago, occurring every few weeks to every few days. Vet wants to do a stool panel looking for bacteria and parasites, and an ultrasound. I do not have the money for either. I'm trying to go to a new vet but $$.
