I just did her reading, and she was 20. tested again, 20

I fed her 1/2 can fancy feast oceanwhite pate, with the gravy lovers mixed in. She's never been hungrier. She only eats 1/2 can at a time anyway, so I'm not overdoing it. I would have done one tablespoon, but 20????????

Im sure its only been about 20 minutes, but I would get another test in. If still low, more HC and maybe honey/karo/maple syrup (whatever your choice of sugar is).

More honey... Feed straight gravy lovers, no pate ... Don't let her fill up on low carb

Test every 15 min

Do you have any rice flour or potatoe flakes (instant potatoes/not flavored)? You could add 1/8 teaspoon to the gravy of HC food.

she just measure 91 at 5pm.

What dose do I give her tonight? she was getting 2.5. Of course, I'm waiting to see what her numbers are at PMPS.

She's never been this low before, and with no signs of this coming. Just had a feeling I had to test.

I added gravy lovers into the pate food....the gravy lovers was freeze dried, and turned into powder. It's so I can syringe it if necessary by making a paste with the powder.
She is now 91!
Glad she came up! I would hold off on any more food for the moment, but test again in 20-30 minutes to make sure she is holding.

Great job getting her up. That 91 is the sugar talking. Please test again in 30 min w/ no more food to confirm she is holding steady. Need 2 hrs above 50 to confirm all clear.

Reduction earned, but pls post again for guidance w/ PMPS.

Great info from everyone.

Regarding the dose this evening, reduce by 0.25u.

Remember what I said earlier about keeping a close eye on Mouse's numbers given the 43 on 5/25 with no reduction? This is Mouse's way of telling you the 2.5u dose was too much. You did a great job of catching the drop in numbers. The only thing 20/20 hindsight would dictate doing differently was getting a test a +6.5 or +7.

In case you haven't seen it, I'd also suggest printing out the sticky on Shooting & Handling Low Numbers. The second half of the sticky walks you through what to do in order to manage low numbers.

I'll be testing every 30 minutes. No room on the chart for all the inbetween numbers.

New post for PMPS dose?

No just one post per day.
dit the thread title to reflect pmps.
You can stack the results of the tests in one cell to reflect the testing you did and how she rrsrespon to the carbs. Have a look at Georges ss, 2016 and you'll see anexaa exof what I mean.

Congratulations on the reduction, to 2.25u

It's downloaded, highlighted, and laminated

PMPS 168. Feels good to shot tonight. Will keep testing every two hours now, should be safe, but stay vigilant
