Late post today because I had an interview first thing this morning.

Sammy is doing well, he is bit higher today than the last few days, and I am wondering if it is related to the fact that I gave him a bit of 10% this morning. I had been giving him 8-9% so I figured that 10% would probably be okay, but maybe not. I am going to go back to the 8-9% and see if that changes. Also it could be because he isn't eating as often today. Since I was out most of the morning he didn't get his second snack until +4.5, and then I got busy and didn't give the next snack until +7.75, and I had been pretty religious about giving him a snack every 2 hours. Sometimes he wouldn't eat it right away, but it was available if he wanted it.

Well, I really expected him to be a bit higher at +10 this afternoon, because at +7.75 after I gave him his snack downstairs he went upstairs and ate some of the 10% food that I forgot to pick up. Oops! Well, he either didn't eat that much of it or it really isn't affecting his numbers as much as I think.

Dr Lisa says not to get too wrapped up in the percentages......the formulas on our cat foods is constantly changing anyway due to different sources of supplies, so the can that was 8% yesterday could easily be 10% today....or 6%...or 12%....or ...or...or

You'd drive yourself crazy over the differences....generally, as long as it's supposed to be under 10%, I wouldn't stress out over a few points one way or the other..I think with most cats, unless they're REALLY carb sensitive, to really effect the numbers would take at least a 5% difference

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the 70's!! There are those of us that would kill for stable 70's!! (I get to be first in line.....LOL)

Thanks @Chris & China I was getting to the point that I thought Sammy was carb sensitive. Until the last couple of days his numbers were a little wonky, and even when he was pretty steady for a month after we FAILED the OTJ trial he still had times when his numbers would go up for what appeared to be no reason at all.

The last few days are the first time that he seems to be showing some numbers like the numbers he was having the first time he went OTJ. And at that time we were feeding him 8-10% carb food and had fed him the same food for 5 years during OTJ. We only switched to lower carb food because he seemed to be so out of whack.
