    Yesterday

It's thundering and lightening outside, so I'm going to cut this short and turn off my computer.

Rusty isn't doing well in this very humid weather. His breathing is not good. His appetite is so-so. We have our vetty appt. on Friday afternoon for his yearly "wellness" exam with bloodwork, etc. And I'm definitely going to ask if she thinks he should start the steroid again. In any event, his B-12 shot was skipped last month owing to our trip to the city for my surgery. So the B-12 should make him feel better.

Spent the afternoon getting my car serviced. I walked up to the near-by John Brown's Farm Historic Site, which is a wonderful place to visit. Brown and his family and fellow abolitionists are buried there. The site has several hiking trails and hillsides with a few picnic tables. And there is even a composting toilet! The views of the Adirondack High Peaks are spectacular.

bbl, after the storms pass by

Glad you are feeling good Ella. Vines for Rusty in this yucky weather. I hope the vet visit goes well and the B12 and steroids work wonders!

Sounds rotten. I hope your humid weather bogs off soon.

Is there anything you can do that helps Rusty with this? I have never really known ongoing humid weather except on my hols.

Poor Rusty. Humid weather makes me miserable, too.

Sending breathing, appy and vetty vines.

Not much. Rusty's congestion is chronic and he has had it for as long as he has been with us. Now that he is much older and frail, his breathing can be good one day and bad the next. Also, there is a lot of pollen in the air now. Allergies play a role, I'm sure.
'night all. The storms are over for the time being.
