Yesterday...
Chino had a nadir of 73 at +3 last night. When he went from 245 this morning to 337 at +4, I gave 1 unit of R with his 2nd meal to keep it from going any higher... and his BG was 181 at +8! This is a more dramatic response than he usually exhibits on the first cycle of a bounce. If his insulin resistance is lessening, I'll have to reevaluate my R "scale."
Current scale:
1.5 units if 500+ at PS or +4
1.25 units if 400+ and rising at PS or +4
1 unit if 300+ and rising at PS or +4
(After a fur shot: 1.5 units if over 300)

. In that case, I hope he continues bouncing tomorrow... I have a doctor appt in the morning and will be away from around +2 to +4, Chino has a vet appt at +7, and I'll be with family from PM +0.25 to +2. If he wants to come down after that, I'm all for it.
