Yesterday...

I waited THREE HOURS for my appt this morning, had to call someone to feed the cats at +4, then race home afterwards to pick up Chino for his appointment. Fortunately, he drifted down slowly throughout the day, so my inability to test had no consequences.

I'm with family right now but will be back by +2 to test again. Based on the PMPS, I'm expecting some drama tonight.

Labs were drawn today. Results should be in tomorrow. The vet will be sending me info about nearby options for SRT and MRIs to determine if he's a candidate for it.

PMPS = 192 (3rd meal LC 0%)
[12 units Lantus]
+2 = 256
+4 = 196 (4th meal LC 0%)
+8.5 = 37!!! (2 tsp HC 20% + 2 gtt Karo)

I was definitely NOT expecting that with a +2 that was higher than the PMPS. I got 33, retested and got 37. Fortunately, he's asymptomatic. Decreasing to 11.5 in the morning.

I just took my 2nd dose 1.5 hours late, because if I waited any longer, I wouldn't be able to safely measure and give his insulin in the morning. I'll get a +10, give him a little more, and get 2 hours of sleep before it's time to test/feed/shoot again.
