Ugh! I think OTJ Trial is becoming a BAD WORD. I think it might be too much to live up to. Based on today's numbers I am not quite ready to return to insulin, but I think I am just going to see how it goes and not try to live up to a 14 day trial and get disappointed if we have to go back to insulin. At least if we are experimenting and we have to go back on insulin then it isn't such a let down, where as if we consider it a trial and then have to go back on insulin I feel like it is more of a FAIL!
Sammy did so well yesterday even after having a PM BG of 127 he came down to 77 within 3 hours after the original test. Today, was a busy day for me and I was only able to get a test at around +2.5 AMBG this morning and Sammy had not come down very much at that point, and tonight he is much higher. I will admit that I am a bit discouraged and I really don't know what is going on. He goes up with insulin he goes up without insulin. I just don't know.
One thing I do know is that he just doesn't eat much when we are not home during the day, and I am wondering if that is affecting him. I will be home a good part of this weekend, and I hope to monitor him a bit more closely, but I am probably going to keep him off insulin for the time being. Hopefully he will level out a bit and come back down to some normal numbers. But if not I guess we will just have to go back on insulin.
