Another "short" shot this morning (some insulin stayed in the syringe). Rusty had a good day, I think, holding the fort while the beans were leading a paddle. He was happy to see us upon our return, and got to spend some quality time outdoors. He ate about half of his fuds. It was another sunny day.

The paddle was beautiful, but we had to cope with swarms of blackflies. It was so unusual, because the blackflies were out on the water. Usually as soon as you get away from the woods, they disappear. Today it was just the opposite. There was a lot of pollen floating on the water and my theory is that the blackflies were on the pollen and our paddles stirred them up. We had a lovely lunch on one of our favorite islands, and no blackflies!

Going downstairs to hold Rusty's bowl. We are tired tonight: too much sun!!!!! (not used to sun).

Sounds like a wonderful day!

Hate when some insulin stays in the syringe. What I started to do was to continue to hold the syringe plunger in while I remove the needle and that seemed to help me a lot. It eliminated the sucking back action of the syringe.

Yes, I do this too, but the "cone" in the Monojects seems to have a life of its own!
