Woo Hoo!! My wonderful little green kitty is back!! (anti-jinx, anti-jinx)
Vet called and just gave me a couple of the test results (the SDMA isn't back yet) but China's kidneys look to be pretty stable and in pretty good shape.
Her creatinine is the same 2.2 as it was in March 2016 ....Her BUN is a little higher, but she's also on a raw diet so I think that may be why. It's gone from 41 in March 2016 to 49 yesterday.
Thyroid is stable too at 2.5
Glucose on their fancy lab equipment was 179! I can't complain considering she'd just been in the car for an hour and then poked and prodded before they pulled her blood.
All in all, my little Deputy LagoonMistress is doing pretty darned good for her age!! For a 17 year old kitty, I don't think I could ask for too much better!!
The only other thing I forgot to report on yesterday was she's in dire need of another dental....got a couple of really icky looking teeth.....Guess I'll start saving my pennies again!! With as wonderful as her numbers have been lately (other than those couple of days) it makes me wonder if maybe getting the teeth done again will let her dose go down again too!!
DM is a little sore today, but that's no surprise with her fall yesterday, but overall she's doing OK today. I just wish there was something that could be done for her memory. I called her this morning to ask her to take a tub of frozen cat food out of her freezer and put it in the fridge, explaining to her how important it was to defrost in the fridge....called her again a couple hours later to make sure she'd done it (she acted like she hadn't) so asked again....when I got over there this afternoon, there was 1 tub on the counter, fully defrosted and 1 in the fridge....probably going to have to throw the defrosted one away so there goes $16
