Not really scared, just would prefer to keep using the AT. I am a perfectionist and the human meter is not exactly the same as the cat meter. If they are close I will be okay with it, also the strips don’t wick from the side, which I really like with Abbott strips (AT, FS, Insulinx) because I rest side of my hand on her head to get blood on side of strip, very easy, the human meter I will need to hold differently. With her it is easier to take blood directly from ear than get it off on something else and test from there. I’ll see how it goes.
 
I hope you can get used to the human meter. Just from personal experience I'd avoid comparing numbers. It will drive you crazy. Good luck.
