I’m off to get his compounded pred and to ask the pharmacist if the pred lose effectiveness over time.

The pharmacist does not know lol

Well, hoping main vet gives me the okay to stop pred. A part of me is fearful the pred is helping Ming with something like IBD or is actually helping with his pancreatitis.

Oh well, we’ll know if we stop and worst case is we put Ming back on it.

Well, at least you will be sleeping easy tonight. I didn't watch Ming much in the past. BG is all over the place.

He’s been difficult but I’m holding hope. It could be a number of things: the pred, a high dose condition, or just taking forever to learn how to use Lev.

There’s definitely been improvement. Might not be visible at a quick glance but I see it :)

He’s also had pancreatitis at least 5 times last year. It was just bad for him. I wasn’t testing. We were increasing his insulin rapidly as directed by vet. But we’re on the right track now. That’s Ming’s story in short :p

That's good to hear. I hope he gets a little more regulated.

Leo was on pred, in the AM. I gave him 1 unit higher in the AM than the PM dose. It pretty much worked. So I continued that until his insulin demand was much lower.
