Yesterday

Harvey started out the day well by eating almost all of his t/f/s, but then he didn't want his breakfast, so I gave him his tummy meds. He ate better after that, eventually finishing the can of FF, but it's just so hot in here that I really can't blame him for not wanting to eat. The crazy thing is that he's been laying in a patch of sunlight that's seeping through the blinds on the sliding door! Like it's not hot enough !

His PMPS may be food influenced, as I didn't take up his dishes until about +11.5 and he had been snacking up till then. Still, not too bad. He's working on his dinner now.

DH is at work on the shelves for the pantry. Slow going, as it's just so stinkin' hot, inside and out. Should start to cool off some in the next hour or so. Last night it was still pretty warm and I tossed and turned all night. Miserable.

Leftovers are gone and I do not feel like cooking in this already hot house, so I think I'm going to go get some Chinese take out. I'd love to go to an air conditioned restaurant to eat, but I don't think DH is going to want to shower and change to do that, so we'll just have to eat on the TV trays under the fan again. Maybe I'll make us some peach bellinis!

My air went out when we had a 100 degree heat wave so I know how you are feeling. My mom's air doesn't work either. Fortunately she is usually cold but it sure is uncomfortable for the rest of us when it hits the high 80's or more. We got a home insurance policy but they are balking at fixing it. Why is everything a fight? When will you parts be in? I hope soon.

sounds like you both need one of those cooling bandanas....but even damp wet dishtowels rotated in the freezer are better than nothing....
and if you have blue ice... set it on your chair... couch... whereever you sit down.... it will feel good....

i learned to do that with the car seat ( children ) years ago.... that car seat got so hot....

i got Nothing done today....

I got almost that much done! Too hot to move, and of course, there was a race on... not that it was any good, especially with my driver still out.

It finally cooled down around 8:00 pm and we were able to open the windows and turn on the whole house fan - that God for that thing!!! I hope it's cooler in our room tonight so I can sleep.

Harvey ate okay, but not great tonight. I'm sure it's the heat, so I didn't push it. I didn't really feel like eating much, either.

When will you parts be in?

Good question. If I don't hear from them tomorrow morning with an ETA, you can bet I will be calling! I did get a call from the Home Warranty company late Friday afternoon, saying the repair was covered. I'm guessing they didn't order the part until they got the same call.
