WCR: Some Ps in place. It's been a tough few days for both of us. Shasta got sick Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and then I got the 24 hour stomach bug Wednesday night/Thursday morning. While I was dying, Shasta was the perfect nurse-maid. Well, she didn't vacuum or do clean the bathroom, but she did snuggle with me and made sure I was feeling better. She started eating and peeing, but we were missing the poop. Finally, she pooped Friday (once) and Saturday (once) and today's a big and stinky. She still doesn't feel good and her appy is up and down. Last night was like Tuesday night all over again with her...minus the vomit. I put out some Turkey & Giblets w/ Zobaline & Miralax...she licked her lips and walked away. This happened a few more times with other dishes. This morning/afternoon has been like pulling teeth to get her to eat anything. I stopped by Pet Supermarket and picked up a few cans of Friskies Special Diet Turkey & Giblets and she wasn't interested at first, but she finally warmed up to it. Now, having said all of that, she claws her way up my leg or body when I'm getting her a little pinch of Chicken Pill Pocket.
I scooped up her poop tonight and bagged it. I don't know if the vet can use it for a fecal float or send it off, but I'd like to rule out all of the parasites/infections that my sister's kittens have been dealing with. Her kittens are now being treated for Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Otherwise, I'm thinking it's P'titis and I don't know if my vet will write us a script for Bupe and/or all of the other fun meds just based on my hunch.
