If there was even a possibility thst Bella could ever go into remission I would have seen it by now right? It’s been over a year since dx, so we are probably gonna do this forever huh? That’s ok, he worth it, but I thought I read where the sooner you catch it the better the chances

Great start for Bella.

There is always hope. Furball is back on insulin right now, but she did go in to remission after 3 1/2 years of being on insulin.

 

No stitches, no scars whooo hooo

 

I feel that way about Luci sometimes too - but then she recently had several DAYS where she was in the green...I guess you just never know what they're going to do...I get tired of the sugar dance sometimes...my dancing shoes have holes in them from running up and down the insulin scale...increasing, decreasing, increasing, decreasing...rinse/repeat. But then I think about what that vet said to me last November - he would have put her down - and I would have missed many joyous loving times with my girl... Nope...I'd rather do the dance than live without her...she's an easy cat to live with...and she's thriving - eating well, not losing weight - uses her LB faithfully...but her diabetes is status quo...so hang in there...we have the board here for support and consolation...don't give up. One day Bella may surprise you and just turn that corner!

You know sometimes when I'm feeling like I'm getting nowhere, I look at the SS and squint (crazy huh?)...Bella's SS looks so much better...no reds, few pinks..lots of blues and greens...he is improving...someone who's got them right now, maybe send you the patience pants...I some some cute one's a while back...I think @Amanda and a Loudogg posted them - very, very cute! Maybe you need to wear them for a few days??? They were so cute I think a pair in 'real life' might be in order Hugs to you and Bella!!

i feel like we are getting somewhere, since the increase, I just didn’t know if there was any hope for him for remission, didn’t know if it depended on how long he has had it, there’s alway hope
And I always need patient pants on lol lol

 

@Sue and Luci is absolutely correct! She passed me along some and I think they've been doing me some good! Maybe they'll help! These are my ones that I need to order in real life. But if you're in the mood for some hotter patience pants. I've got you covered!

 

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I think those pics just made my day!! SO ADORABLE! Apparently I'm so chuffed I can't stop "yelling", haha. Just remember that nothing is impossible in the FD dance. Chris's China went OTJ after being on insulin for 5 years. While she did need to go back on, the original OTJ itself is wonderful and significant.
